Tathagat Avatar Tulsi

There are few people who’ve got special abilities, which they start showing from their childhood. They have got power to change the world using their mind. One of such prodigy is Tathagat Avatar Tulsi.

Tathagat Avatar Tulsi was born on September 9, 1987 in Patna, India. He completed his high school education when he was just 9 and by the age of 10 he earned his degree of Bachelor of Science. By the time he turned 12, he had completed his Master of Science. But he didn’t stop there, his genius mind helped him co-author a research manuscript with Lov Grover, inventor of quantum search algorithm, at the age of 7.

In 2009, Tathagat Avatar Tulsi further went on to become a Ph.D from Indian Institute of Science at the age of 21 which also made him set a record in the Guinness Book of World Records, for being the youngest Ph.D.

His amazing talent won him a position of Assistant Professor, in the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology or IIT as it is better known, when he was only 24, again a record in itself. But Tulsi’s journey was not smooth as it seems. Like every famous person, he too, received flak. In 2001, he was selected to participate in Noble Laureates Conference held in Germany by the Indian Department of Science and Technology. But later on DST official announced that he was selected by a blunder and Tulsi is nothing more than a fake prodigy. This insult affected him badly and he went into depression. But with the help and encouragement of his family and well wishers, Tulsi decided to fight back. He earned the PhD and got recognition as a scientist and proved his detractors wrong.

 

Tathagat Tulsi has received praise from all over the world. TIME magazine listed Tulsi as Physics Prodigy and one of the most gifted Asian youngsters while SCIENCE mentioned him as a Superteen. OUTLOOK listed him as a one of the smartest Indian youngsters and The WEEK listed him as a Master Mind.

Tulsi was also selected for Waterloo University, but he declined the offer it as he wanted to stay in India. He wants to set up his own lab and to start research for Quantum Computation. His aim to achieve Noble Prize and is bidding to becoming the youngest Nobel Prize recipient.
