June 30, 2007 - The baby bombers were the first to score in the rubber game of a
three game set against the Aberdeen Ironbirds at Ripken Stadium.
With two outs, Damon Sublett walked and David Williams belted a
ground ball single to center. Sublett scored on an error
by the second baseman, who missed the catch. Zach
McAllister got the start for the bombers on the mound, after a
lead off error he settled in to retire the next three batters.
McAllister pitched 5.0 innings, giving up 3 runs while striking
out 5 batters. He was replaced by John Axford who went on
to pitch the remaining 4.0 innings. The Yankees would turn
it on at the plate, having two multi-run innings in route to the
victory over the Ironbirds.
