August 12, 2007 – It was another beautiful day at the ballpark as the Staten Island Yankees and the Jamestown Jammers meet up in the rubber game of a three game set.

The bombers were eyeing their sixth consecutive series win as they sent former Independent League standout Chris Farley to the mound.  Farley got into early trouble in the game, allowing 2 runs in the first inning but settled in to pitch 4 innings, allowing 5 hits and striking out 4.  Craig Heyer took over on the mound in the fifth inning and cruised through his first 3 innings before allowing a homerun with 1 out in the eighth to give Jamestown a 3-0 lead.

The bombers would plate their first and only run in their half of the eighth inning, after Justin Snyder singled with 1 out, Taylor Holiday grounded out to second allowing him to move into scoring position for Damon Sublett.  Sublett then smacked a fly ball double to left field for the RBI.
